Technical Specification

Approvals and Standards

The thermostatically controlled mixing valve complies with BS1415 Part II, is UK WFBS listed and will comply with current NHS guidelines on safe hot water.

The valve has therefore been approved under the TMV3 scheme to the requirements of the NHS Estates Model Engineering Specification DO8, for use as a bidet.

Operation

The Bidet-Loo™ is operated by a push action water flow control valve. Pressing the button activates the flow cycle and the flow rate will remain constant for at least 20 seconds before automatically shutting off.

By automatically shutting off it also prevents waste in unsupervised areas.

Temperature Stability

The Bidet-Loo™ is thermostatically temperature controlled to deliver safe mixed water, and is factory pre-set to give a tamper proof temperature of 43 deg C. However, for individual user comfort, the Bidet-Loo™ can be reset for any temperature between 38 deg C and 55 deg C.

The operation of the Bidet-Loo™ will shutdown if either the hot or cold water supply should fail, provided a minimum differential of 10 deg C exists between the mixed water temperature and the remaining supply.

Installation

Inlet connections are 15mm compression.

To avoid damage to the internal components, the plumbing system should be flushed through prior to installing the Bidet-Loo™ as any contaminants could affect its performance.

The requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 should always be complied with.

See bottom of page, for installation instructions download.

Maintenance

All chrome and other surfaces should be wiped clean using only a mild detergent solution.

The materials used within the internal components of the Bidet-Loo™ are hard wearing and chosen to minimise any build-up of scale, in order to reduce the frequency of servicing.

Guarantee

The Bidet-Loo™ and its working control mechanism have undergone strict performance testing prior to despatch. Should a fault occur, all internal working components are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. This is in addition to any statutory rights.
